Lots to see and do this week: Bill Jensen‘s “New Work” opens this Thursday, Feb 18th at Cheim & Read. Tickets are now available for Christopher Durang‘s musical All About Me at the Henry Miller Theater: previews begin on Feb 22, opening on March 18. Charles Ludlam‘s films The Sorrows of Dolores and Museum of Wax will be featured as a part of IFC’s Queer/Art/Film festival on Feb 22. Have you seen Ernesto Neto‘s “Navedenga” (through April 26) up at MoMA yet? Be sure to check out this past BOMB interview, featuring the work “Navedenga”! A Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonagh, starring Christopher Walken, has its world premiere at Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Feb 15. Keep on eye on the newsstands: Richard Prince photographed the Spring/Summer cover of POP magazine. Filmmaker Guy Maddin‘s Night Mayor will be in the short film line-up of Austin’s SXSW festival, while across the pond Zhang Yimou‘s film A Simple Noodle Story will join the 60th Berlin Film Festival competition. Finally, we’re pleased as punch to note that Junot Diaz won the Writers for Writers Award, for his help toward his peers in the “broader literary community.” Cheers!
